THE ART OF THE BULGARIAN EMBROIDERY ETERNAL SYMBOLS
A famous Bulgarian poet confessed that during all oppressive centuries of yoke and hardships the Bulgarians
created two great arts - the folk songs and the embroidery. The Bulgarian embroidery is an
art, spirit, secret and magic, song and a fairy tale.
And if you look at the embroidery,
if you touch with eyes the script sewn in, if you take in hand the linen
and the needle - you will understand and feel that.

We offer you a week long Workshop in Bulgarian Embroidery within a nine days tourist program in one of the three unforgettable places - Dolen, Melnik or Sozopol.

Place: At the RhoDea houses in the village of Dolen

Amidst the gorgeous nature of the Rhodopes and the serenity of the centuries old house you will have the opportunity to immerse into the world of beauty and finesse of the Bulgarian embroidery. There is a collection of Bulgarian national costumes and embroideries at the host house. Will visit the rich ethnographic collection of the Historical Museum in the town of Gotse Delchev (25km) in one of the afternoons.
