         from faiths and teachings accepted worldwide - Orphic sacred
         mysteries, the Bogomils (predecessors of many religious 
         trends in Europe), the Teaching of Master Beinsa Douno 

   To demonstrate our traditional arts and crafts,
         icons, embroidery 

To feel the magic of our indigenous customs and festivities, 
         folk art, unusual rhythms and polyphonic songs 

To share the enthusiasm for riding our horses through 
         the magnificent forests and the sea shore 

WHAT DOES ARKAN MEAN?

Arkan is the old Bulgarian word for "lasso" and the horse was a sacred animal for our predecessors- both Thracians and Bulgarians. Besides the word Arcanum in Latin is a secret, mystery. When you leave Bulgaria feeling stronger unexplainable relationship with nature and bringing back to your country part of our cultural and spiritual past - it means that we have justified our choice of name and met our goal.
